Normally I hate joke songs. In general, they aren’t nearly as funny as they are cracked up to be. The musicianship is terrible, the rhymes are forced, and the whole thing just kind of makes no sense. Either listen to good music or listen to good standup. I don’t need those things to intersect.

But Wolves of Glendale is thawing my icy attitude towards the comedic musical genre. They’re actually all really talented, there are awesome harmonies, I laugh out loud a few times per song, and this music video scared the bejesus out of my 4-year-old daughter. So they pretty much hit the superfecta of things that I enjoy.
