Oddball: Week 7 Recap

The boys are BACK with a clean sweep across the board. It's an accomplishment even more historic than blowing an 18-point lead with 6 minutes to play.

Oddball is our weekly NFL gambling competition where we each get $100 every weekend and try to outdo each other. The loser has to do the TB12 diet for a week. Let's see how we did in Week 7.

I'm honestly shocked McDoofus still has a job as of writing this on Tuesday morning. He looks more clueless than Kirk in our Business Statistics class when I stopped letting him copy off of me out of spite. I may not be a good friend, but I'm good at wagering against quarterbacks who don't know what planet they're on and coaches who wear capris.

Cam Ward has smaller hands than Jared Goff, so that's kind of funny. Also, this kind of sucks. The Patriots officially have a real quarterback again. Drake Maye is definitely feeling it, especially on the deep ball. If they can figure out how to run the ball even a little bit, they are gonna be scary. Can't wait for my goofy quarterback to ruin their Super Bowl dreams again in a few years.

As much as it pains my Uncle Jack, Jared Goff has been completely unstoppable in his home dome. We got a little help in this one when Mike Evans went out with his 4000th career injury, but this was pretty much a no-sweat bet to wrap up a clean sweep for the week. Congratulations to me, well done. Please do not ask me about Brian Daboll's clock management skills. I'd like to live in my profitable bliss for a few more minutes.

The Mike Vrabel game was never in doubt. Well, after the first quarter at least. Watching more and more of this Titans team makes me hate myself for betting on their franchise for the first time in my life a handful of weeks ago.

What a moron I was(am).

Unfortunately for us the win comes at the cost at the Patriots officially being good again, only a handful of years removed from the Tom Brady era. Unlike so many franchises the Quarter Zips of the greater New England area will once again walk around with their chests puffed out pretending to be too good for football until it comes up as at least, at least, the fifth topic of conversation in their swarmy offs.

But hey, I'll take the win.
